Sitting in bed after a good nights rest. Here is a picture i borrowed from a missionary and blogger “two m” showing a glimpse of the rain here in Phnom Penh this week.
We had two great evenings so far of have rain, thunder and lightening! I love how it cools things down and cleans things up a bit… At least at night. During the day it can cause some very aren’t, muggy conditions. It also slows the pace down a bit here as well. Something that was pointed out by Michelle and that we can plainly see is how fools have to make quick adjustments and slow down when the rains hit hard and flood the area. Magically the scooter and tuk tuk drivers seem to have rain ponchos on and continue on their way. Certainly a different life here in Cambodia.
We are Vertu blessed to be here serving God and sharing His love with the people here. Their smiles and friendly greetings each day are a joy. Especially the children. Gina was ill last week but is recovering. We are both loving time with the children!
I have taught a couple summer lessons and worked with the other volunteers as we organize and prepare the school for the coming year. Gina is wonderful with the preschool children; all who know her are not at all surprised.
Sorry it has taken so long to post, here two weeks now. Will take more time later to share what has been happening.
